Professional and personal:
Grew up near Leland in Leelanau county where pick-up bike races were more common than pick-up basketball games. Spent 8 years at Michigan Tech completing degrees in physics and geophysics before moving overseas, promising myself someday I'd return to the Keweenaw. 10 years later, with then fiance (now wife) Rhiannon in hand, I finally made it back. With road races few and far between and the Keweenaw's abundant and excellent trails, I fully embraced mountain biking, and have been exploring endurance racing the past couple years (100mi & 12/24 hour racing).

Racing goals:
Race to the best of my ability, have fun and stay upright.
