Colligan Crowned Ronde King
April 19, 2010
Converging on the Bike Haus in Marquette for the fourth running of the Ronde de Skandia Cycling Classic this past Saturday were some 35 riders from across the Midwest. The 80-mile road race, contested on the worst roads the race director can find, has become the traditional start to the cycling season and is viewed by many as the U.P. World Road Racing Championships.more
Ronde van Skandia to Open U.P. Road Season
April 5, 2010
Classic season in the U.P. is short, sweet, and painful: 80 miles of bad road under the nastiest April weather mother nature can cook up. Director of the fourth annual Ronde van Skandia, Tom Maheny, is once again compiling a list of the roughest, dog-infested, head-wind-cursed roads the south side of Marquette has to offer in his quest to match the hallowed grounds of Northern Europe in a race contested in the tradition of a spring classic.more

Red Jackets Hone CX Skills During Week, Ready to Rumble in Ishpeming
Oct. 1, 2009
With one UPCROSS race in the books, the cyclocross season gets into high gear this weekend at the Al Quaal Recreation Center in Ishpeming. The Red Jacket - BlueSky Health team is looking for a strong showing this weekend as they come off a pair of low-key but high-intensity Wednesday night races on the Tech Trails. A dozen riders lined up in this week's race, with top honors going to Tech sophomore CJ Anta, who edged class- and C4 teammate Blaine Benson at the line. .more
Summer Disappears, Cyclocross Looms on Horizon
Sept. 16, 2009
My calendar suddenly flipped from July to September. I've either been been caught in a time warp or had a baby. Or is that the same thing? In any event, the team web site has been neglected the past several weeks. Before the cx season gets into high gear, a summary of how the second half of the season went. .more
Miner's Revenge Race Report
July 16, 2009
Putting a race together is tough. Putting on an inaugural version of such is even tougher. And when you have to build the course before you can even race? Well, that takes an impressive effort. Thankfully, some hardworking 19th century miners got it started by creating a 1/3 of a mile tunnel through Adventure Bluff. Over 100 years later, numerous Red Jacket - BlueSky Health Cycling Team members, fans, and sponsors pitched in to finish out the remaining four and half miles of trails and do all the necessary work to make a race happen there. .more
