New Name, New Sponsors, New Members, New Look

Entering its thrid year, Houghton's Red Jackets will now officially take to the roads and trails under the name "Red Jacket Cycling Team". The team continues to ride for BlueSky Health and The Bike Shop of Houghton, as well as a number of new sponsors. New on board this year is Computer Mechanix of Houghton, providers of home and business computing solutions. The Red Jackets are also proud to announce the addition of Kenda, Neuvation, RoadID, Rudy Project, Sport Legs and Squirt Lube as sponsors. Stay tuned for reviews as the team puts the products through their paces.
With the departure of Diane Ursu and Bob Carpenter from the team, the Red Jackets say goodbye to two fine cyclists. They're big shoes to fill, but the team has signed a number of new members who are up to the task: Kit Cischke, Jason Evans, Bruce Harvey, Tim Kostner and Steve Rowe.
With the new name and new sponsors comes a new team kit. Keep your eyes peeled for the unmistakeable colors and stripes of the Red Jackets when it comes time to toe up to the line this season. |
