Postings Index Red Jacket - BlueSky Health Launches Event Calendar Diane Ursu, April 21, 2008 The Red Jacket – BlueSky Health Cycling Team is a busy group of individuals. Not only are they racing throughout the Upper Peninsula, Lower Peninsula, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, but many of them are active members of cycling clubs in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The team's forum was developed to facilitate communication between the riders and to be the goto place for cycling information for the Keweenaw and beyond. However, the forum provides no way of easily organizing all the events the Red Jackets participate in. Due to the diverse schedules and cycling commitments among the team members, it was necessary to create a working calendar that would not only allow the team to easily choose the races that would fit into their schedules, but would also give them a visual for scheduling racing around important Keweenaw cycling events. Marquette's Kitchi-Mi-Kana Cycling Club has also provided the dates of their events which have been incorporated into our calendar. The calendar is not just a racing resource. It is a color-coded, interactive calendar designed to highlight Upper Peninsula events and to be easily used not only for those looking to race throughout the region, but for those wishing to participate in local events in the Upper Peninsula, especially in the Keweenaw and Marquette areas.
